Valentine's Weekend

Over this past weekend, I had a couple of Valentine’s events. On Saturday, my friends and I decided to get together for a Galentine’s hangout. We’ve gotten together on either the 12th or 13th for the last couple of years and decided to continue our little tradition this year as well. We all like to get together while dressing up cute and finding somewhere to go take pictures. Last year we went to the Short North and took pictures with the murals. This year we stayed a little closer to home and went to the Bridge Park area in Dublin and took parking garage pictures.

Unfortunately, not everyone could make it to the pictures, but a few of us could. Kennedy Gyurko and Haley Decker, who are pictured above, got together and we headed down to Dublin. We used pink balloons to spice up the pictures, but the pictures themselves didn’t last long, as it was so cold and snowing. To continue our Galentine’s day, we went to everyone’s favorite place, Target. We wandered aimlessly around for an hour, before heading back to one of our houses, where we played a Mean Girl’s themed board game. Kennedy said her favorite part of the day was “playing the Mean Girls game and laughing so hard to the point where I couldn't breathe.”

To continue my Valentine’s weekend, my boyfriend and I celebrated Valentine’s Day on Sunday. We both got each other little gifts, such as candy. He got me flowers and a huge Dino Squishmallow and I got him a Lego car and some truck figurines because he’s obsessed with cars and trucks. Since we celebrated on the same day as the Super Bowl, we just kept the day chill and stayed at my house and watched Infinity War, followed by Endgame. We did go out to get food at Chipotle, as it’s a favorite of ours. Overall, it was an easy day of cuddling and watching movies, but that’s honestly relaxing and one of our favorite things to do.

Overall, this year's Valentine’s has been one of the best, because I got to see both my friends and boyfriend. I got to see everyone who is close to me and got to spend a day with each of them.
