After dancing the night away at Prom, Darby students had the option to head to After Prom!
Darby’s After Prom was at Dave & Busters from 11:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. and offered unlimited games, appetizers, and drinks, among other things. On a poll from my Instagram story, I asked if those from Darby were going. Out of the 42 people who voted, 55% said that they were and 45% said they weren’t.
As people left Prom, those who said they were going began to head over to Dave & Busters. As you walked in, all the games were lit up and the sounds of people and game music were the first thing that you could hear. I went to After Prom with my date but also went to see some friends who went.
Through an Instagram story, I asked two questions regarding After Prom. The first question was, What was your favorite part of After Prom? A few people answered and the first was Darby’s Prom King Aidan Koppenhofer. He said, “Having a good reason to dress up nice and eat a bunch of food with friends.”
Darby sophomore Sophia Scowden said, “Being able to hang out with my friends casually while playing arcade games.” Lastly, Darby senior Phillisity Neal said, “Hanging out with friends and just the feeling of free games.”
The second question I asked was, Would you like to see Darby do After Prom somewhere else? Aidan answered again saying, “No, Dave and Busters has many different activities for different people.” Following that, Phillisity also answered again and was on the other side of the question than Aidan. She said, “Yes. A change of scenery would be nice.”
I also think that it would be cool to see Darby do After Prom somewhere else, but Dave & Busters is a fun place to go to, as you get to play free games and have fun with your friends and relax after Prom.
