Many people seem to exclaim that fall is “Gilmore Girls season.” Gilmore Girls is about a mother-daughter duo, Lorelei and Rory Gilmore, who live in Stars Hollow, Connecticut, with their crazy neighbors and many ups and downs. The show begins with Lorelei working at the Independence Inn in Stars Hollow. She needs help from her parents to pay Rory's tuition to Chilton, a prestigious high school she wants to attend. Lorelei and Rory both have an obsession with coffee that Rory got from her mother. In Stars Hollow, they have a diner they visit daily that serves coffee named after Lorelei's good friend Luke.

Stars Hollow is presented as a beautiful small town that is stunning in the fall. I believe that this is why many people seem to think that fall is “Gilmore Girls season” because the comfort the show brings in the fall, sitting on your couch while drinking a nice cup of coffee, is fantastic. I interviewed Darby freshman and Gilmore Girls fan Sela Hennnon about the show and why she finds the show so comforting. She said, “I think it’s the small town setting and how the characters all know each other, as well as how everything works out at the end and the fantasy of the show that everyone wants.” The show has seven seasons and 153 episodes. Each season is about Rory going through her high school years as an honor student and then attending college. She also runs into some boy trouble as she starts to get older.

“What’s your favorite part about the show?” I asked Sela. “I love the quick back and forth about each character and just the dialogue of the story. I feel like I’m warmed up in a blanket when I’m watching the show.” Overall, Gilmore Girls is amazing and one of my favorite shows during the fall!
